THE MARKET

In Hudson County, just a short drive from most of the supermarkets, too many areas and too many people still lack access to healthy, nourishing food. 

The Market is a new initiative aimed at eliminating food deserts in Hudson County.  The Market will offer a mobile food truck that brings fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, dairy products and more to those with limited access to these nutritious foods. 

By partnering with local farmers and institutions, we can provide this food, including for those who receive SNAP food stamp benefits.  As we continue working on the rollout of the mobile Market, Phase 1 of this project includes grocery delivery to areas, especially where there are so many disabled, elderly and the homebound people.  We also offer programs that assist low-to moderate-income individuals with transportation to and from the grocery store.
